Star Gate – das Original
- The German series was first published by the newly founded micro publisher 'Merkur' in 1986. 18 instalments were written, 12 of them printed and 11 made it to the newsstands before the series folded.
- In 1987 Volker Krämer, one of the former 'Merkur' owners continued the series in his own house. W. K. Giesa wrote 12 installments, of which 9 were printed and published when the series folded in 1988.
- In 1995, the so-called 'lost episodes' were published by the fantasy fan club EDFC.
- Between 1998 and 2005 publisher 'Blitz' had the then available novellas turned into fix-up novels, followed by newly written stories.
- Finally, in 2005, Wilfried A. Hary started republishing the entire series. He started with the first 11 original stories, then adding new material in between the old 'Merkur' material. Towards then end, the material written by W. K. Giesa for Krämer was also included into the storyline, albeit rewritten by Wilfired A. Hary and Miguel de Torres. The material published with Blitz was consequently ignored.
