The Black Iron Legacy

The Black Iron Legacy was never intended to be a trilogy - I wrote the first book as a standalone, then Orbit bought THE GUTTER PRAYER and a second book, which became THE SHADOW SAINT. They then bought a third in the series, which I wrote assuming there'd be a fourth. However, sales didn't justify Orbit buying the fourth and fifth books. The fourth book is partially written, and I do intend to finish it and the fifth when time allows. However, between other novels (THE SWORD DEFIANT/UNBOUND/TRIUMPHANT and the upcoming DUNGEON BOOK) and my roleplaying work (lots), plus kids, just getting my contracted writing work done takes all my time at the moment. I will - somehow - get the fourth and fifth books done. I want the story out of my head. I know how the series ends. But I don't know when that will be.
