Mr. Robinson and Mr. Watkins both live on Fairfox Avenue, where all the houses look alike, and they hate it. Each of them is plotting a dramatic escape. For the moment, though, the only change they manage to make is to accidentally walk into each other's houses, and not realize it until the next morning.
