Kay takes the last seat on the train, across from a grotesque couple. The woman is strangely inquisitive and keeps Kay unwillingly in conversation. She also reveals that she and her companion are performers, whose trick is burying the man alive.
Borderline speculative: A tale of terror that goes into some pretty strange territory. First published in Harper's Bazaar in October 1945.
