The statement in the "Sources" of Greetings, Carbon-Based Bipeds! (1999) that this chapter comes from The Treasure of the Great Reef (1964) is erroneous. (The latter year is also given incorrectly at the same place: 1962.) The correct source for the chapter is another of Clarke's books with underwater adventures, The Reefs of Taprobane (1957).
