Synopsis

The marriage of an impoverished farmer deteriorates and in 1922 he enlists the aid of his son in murdering her and hiding the body. The crime eats at his son, however, and tragedy continues to dog the pair, while the father is plagued by the ghost of his wife, and an army of rats which he believes are ruled by the ghost.
