There is talk of a family ghost in the family Mrs. Bellmore is visiting. She is surprisingly not disturbed when the ghost visits her in the night and kisses her. The "ghost" is not one, and it turns out that both Mrs. Bellmore and her visitor have been engaging in subterfuge.
