First published in the magazine Midnight Shambler #4, 1996 as 'Citadel Darkness Geniture'. Also available online in June 1997 in Issue #1 of Mythos Online, but as can be seen at this archived link, https://web.archive.org/web/19990129022830/http://www.fortunecity.com:80/victorian/lion/157/issue.htm#1, it was taken down and there doesn't seem to be any trace of the story itself.
