"This text began as a set of written questions posed to me by Camera Obscura editors Constance Penley and Sharon Willis, in 1988. My written response became, finally, too long to include in the journal (...)" as Delany states in the short introduction in 'Silent Interviews'.
It consists of only three questions with rather elaborate answers by Delany, all three deal mainly with the Nevèrÿon universe, but themes like economy, AIDS/sexual behavior, sf criticism and art are dealt with in longer excursions.
