"The Hunt for Australian Horror Fiction" was first published in US magazine The Scream Factory No. 16, 1995. It is based on an original article, "The Hunt for Australian Horror", by Sean McMullen and Steve Paulsen, first published in Aurealis No. 14 in January 1995, and Steve Paulsen's column "Pulse" from various issues of Bloodsongs.
- "A History of Australian Horror" in Bonescribes is a revision of the 3 author "... Hunt ...".
