Non-fantastic essay, second from the travelogue Anglické listy (1924), first published in Lidové noviny daily on 15 June, the book form being (in general) revised. {{Tr|Paul Selver}} in Letters from England (1925); the Towards the Radical Center reprint, at least, lacks the final paragraph (largely addressing the newspaper readers and commenting on the accompanying sketch, which WAS included nevertheless) and notes "revised by the publisher" (i. e. likely Robert Wechsler, the one-man founder of the Catbird Press and translator of some other pieces in the book).
