At the Crossroads of Europe

{{tr|unnamed and later revised by Robert Wechsler}} per: The 1990 anthology attributes this as "introduction to a book entitled At the Cross-Roads of Europe: A Historical Outline of the Democratic Idea in Czechoslovakia, published by the PEN Club of Prague in 1938 [...] The volume does not give the name of the editor of the collection or of the translator [...] The translation has been revised by the publisher" i. e. Robert Wechsler. The Czech original "Hle, Československo" [Behold, Czechoslovakia] was published already in July 1936 in the opening issue of the journal Srdce Evropy [Heart of Europe].
