Prince Furibond banishes his cousin Leander, who in the woods befriends a snake. The snake is a fairy in disguise, and for his efforts gives him a scarlet cap that renders him invisible, and transports him anywhere, along with three magical flowers. The rest of the play is reasonably close to what you expect from that introduction.
