  • The US monthly McClure's promoted this story alone on its front cover (quote): A New Series by Rudyard Kipling "Robin Goodfellow, His Friends" Begins in This Number. The first four Puck of Pook's Hill stories, as styled in the 10-part Strand Magazine serial, had been published in the US monthly Ladies' Home Journal 23:2-5, each with foretitle "Puck of Pook's Hill".
  • The copy of McClure's 27:1 viewed at HathiTrust, from a bound volume at U Michigan, shows the stamped date "APR 28 1906" on its front cover.
