Notes
- The novella is a rewrite / completion of the original 1977 concept by Ernst Vlcek. The main chunk of the text is by Neal Davenport with small add-ons by Uwe Voehl. The final Edition has embellishments from Oliver Fröhlich who added pieces from the 1980s nos. 173-175.
- A similar version was published in 1985 under the title Die Pestburg. It was reprinted in 1996 with some minor modifications as Die rote Hexe
