- Note that US and UK versions of The Strand Magazine vary. US Editions have Volumes that run February-July and August-January (compared to the UK edition which uses the more common January-June and July-December separations). US Editions also appear to be one Whole No. lower when compared calendar month to calendar month. Most importantly, the contents vary by month and are not exact copies. A work may appear first in either edition, to be followed in the other publication some months later. Artwork may appear moved from a frontispiece to an inset within the work. Some works may appear in one and not the other. Some years the publications also have a different number of pages (and less total content) per month.
