The Orgy: An Idyll, Part II

This is the second part of a story which Walter de la Mare submitted to Blackwood's Magazine; the magazine cut the story in two, printed the first part in June 1930 under the title "The Orgy: An Idyll" and never published the second part. The conclusion finally appeared in print in 2001, in Short Stories 1927-1956. According to Giles de la Mare, editor of that volume, the author probably intended for the first half to be titled "An Orgy" and the second, "An Idyll".
