Zora and Anya have retired to Caring Seasons, a community for the elderly equipped with pervasive state-of-the-art protective monitoring and AI assistance. The technology proves over-protective when it doesn't release Anya from the hospital after treatment and when it decides that Zora calling her family and her lawyer causes her excessive stress. Zora decides to leave against Caring Seasons's wishes.
