Introduction (American Science Fiction: Four Classic Novels 1960—1966)

The introductory essay is generally very well done, but it has errors about Samuel R. Delany's ""Ballad of Beta-2". Wolfe dates it as 1966; it was published in 1965 as an Ace Double. He also states it won the Nebula Award, but it did not; it was nominated as best novella, but the winners (in a tie) were Brian W. Aldiss ("The Saliva Tree") and Roger Zelazny ("He Who Shapes").
