The Tale of Lohengrin is borderline speculative fiction. Before the story begins, Duke Gottfried of Brabant has been cursed by his sister, Elsa, resulting in him being turned into a swan. Elsa has then forgotten what she did. The story begins with her being accused of his murder, and the hero Lohengrin shows up to champion her innocence. After a lengthy story with no speculative elements, Lohengrin reveals his identity as a Knight of the Holy Grail and son of King Parsifal. He then reveals what she has done, the swan appears, he prays to the swan, and the swan turns back into a young Gottfried.
