The story begins: "By 2133, ten years after an Order in Council invested them with all rights to the entire Sherlock Holmes Canon, The Baker Street Irregulars had become a corporation of vast wealth and power. As shareholders, its members received fat annual dividends, and the privilege of membership was jealously guarded."
