A Home for the Old Ones

The Acknowledgments section of ''Science Fiction: DAW 30th Anniversary'' has the following comment “A Home for the Old Ones, an excerpt from the forthcoming novel From Gateway to the Core, ©2002 by Frederik Pohl. Published by permission of the author.” In an interview given in 2001 Pohl says “…probably will be out late next year ... provided I finish writing it.” ''From Gateway to the Core'' was the pre-publication title of ''The Boy Who Would Live Forever''; "A Home for the Old Ones" was reprinted as part of the novel.
