Standing on the edge of International Airport here, Futuro II is 26 feet in diameter, 12 feet high, sleeps 2-4 comfortably and is delivered as a fully self contained house. • It is designed by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen and built in 22 units. The view is against the night sky of the American city of Philadelphia in this 1970 shot. The ellipsoidal structure made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic with 16 symmetrically arranged oval windows was intended to serve as a mobile ski lodge.
