An account of an unexpected surrender of the Swedish fortress Sveaborg to Russian troops in 1808.
This story was written in 1968 and remained unpublished until 2003. It contains no known speculative elements. The plot was significantly reworked in 1984 with speculative elements added and the result was published as "Under Siege".
