Althor (Dyhianna's son, not her nephew) and his Jag are somehow sidelined to an alternate 1980s Earth where he rescues (and is rescued by) 'Tina Pulovik, who may be the answer to the prayers of an entire Universe. And a generation-long betrayal is exposed but must still be hidden.
The second Skolian novel written, it takes place far into the future and almost entirely in a parallel universe.
Gives glimpses into its "past" that have yet to be revealed in the "real-time" storyline.
Readers know that the exiles on Prism are still lost (presumed dead), and that the war-that-doesn't-exist-anymore between ESComm and ISC is still raging 50 years later.
