A Christmas Trilogy which appeared in "Weird Tales" in January of 1938.Editor, Sam Moskowitz portrays the "saga" as "the greatest adult Christmas story written by an American." The story is centered around a Norseman named Klaus, who finds himself in the service of Herod.As "Claudius" in"The Road to Bethlehem," he defends a poor Jewish family from attack by the soldiers of Rome, saving the life of a remarkable infant.<br>In "The Road to Calvary," he meets this infant become a remarkable man.Klaus / Claudius is in the service of one Pontius Pilate.He is given the duty of placing a scroll "over the young Prophet's head."<br>"The Long Road Home" relates his years of wandering through Europe after the fall of Rome and the strange fate he finds as his reward.
