The Author's Note for each title in this trilogy is the same, the essay beginning "When writing the three volumes of "The Quintara Marathon..." and ending "...and certainly preferable to the alternatives". The only slight variation is the Note for The Demon at Rainbow Bridge (in the Baen edition) which begins "When writing The Demons at Rainbow Bridge...", the rest of the two-paragraph essay being the same.
