Notes
This was first published as a letter in the Brass Tacks column of Astounding, December 1945. Paul Williams, in collecting material for the Complete Stories of Theodore Sturgeon series, mistakenly believed it was an unpublished story and included it in Killdozer!, Volume III (1996). Williams acknowledged the error in the notes of the fourth volume of the series.
