Fantasy Newsletter - 1981

This publication recounts both recently published and expected publications in the fantasy field, including books, magazines and the fan press. Many illustrations are from the fantasy publications reviewed. Also presents information on appropriate conventions and other topics of interest to fantasy fans, including photos. As in the previous volume, book reviews, interviews with fantasy authors and regular opinion essays are also included.

Paul Allen ceased publishing Fantasy Newsletter with the October 1981 issue. He reported in an August letter to subscribers that the publication was at least breaking even, but that sales had been flat for six months, and it wasn't worth the effort required to continue. Publication was continued by Florida Atlantic University, through the Division of Continuing Education, and edited by Robert A. Collins, Department of English.
