According to Ackerman's introduction in ''Science Fiction Worlds of Forrest J Ackerman & Friends'', the bulk of the original story was written by Tigrina while Ackerman wrote the ending. When the story appeared in the ''Inside'' fanzine, it was erroneously credited to Ackerman alone. The story was then rewritten by Charles E. Fritch and William F. Nolan and published in ''Gamma'', but still credited to Ackerman alone. All 4 contributors were credited when it was reprinted in ''Science Fiction Worlds of Forrest J Ackerman & Friends''.
