Mrs. Yonelet's pet elk is in the habit of attacking female visitors and her son is in the habit of rescuing them, whereupon Mrs. Yonelet always declares that the the two are destined to marry (it hasn't happened yet). The arrival of a very forceful German governess breaks the pattern.
