Boaz, a blind cobbler, dotes on his son Manuel, who everyone else thinks is a good-for-nothing. Then Manuel disappears under suspicion of having committed robbery and murder. Boaz waits for the culprit to return.

A non-speculative mystery/suspense story. First published in "Pictorial Review," Volume XXII (Volume 22) beginning on page 20 and ending on page 183 in the October 1920 issue.
