Page [11], "List of Full-Page Illustrations", lists eight, five by Greiffenhagen for the title novel Allan's Wife and three by Kerr for the second and third of four works. The last three stories, previously published 1885 to 1887 (see the story records), otherwise contain head- and tail-pieces only, with the first head-piece alone clearly signed "C K" (page 227).
