The Hungry Stones

{{Tr|Mr. C. F. Andrews and other hands}} Published in Bengali in 1895. The English translation first appeared in The Hungry Stones and Other Stories, 1916. The preface of that volume states that the story was "translated by Mr. C. F. Andrews, with the author's help. Assistance has also been given by the Rev. E. J. Thompson, Panna Lal Basu, Prabhat Kumar Mukerji, and the Sister Nivedita."
