The first three use subtitle "A Zulu Idyll" (or Idyl), credit H. Rider Haggard, and contain uncredited illustrations by {{a|Dan Beard}} (probably, from the signature). SF Chronicle uses no subtitle, credits Rider Haggard, and contains uncredited illustrations by "Newberry" (clearly signed).
