The Fosters are a married couple who dispute about departing on time. He baits her by purposely being perpetually late. The last straw is the departure for a trip to Paris. Mrs. Foster leaves without Mr. Foster. On her return, he isn't waiting for her. We find out, indirectly, that she may have deliberately left him in a broken-down elevator the whole time she was away.
