A World War I "famous war ace", Captain Philippe Roget, relates to the narrator how Joan of Arc's ghost (or spirit) saved him during a crucial mission.
Miller/Contento (for the appearance in Ghost Stories) and Locus1 (for the Ashley anthology) both state that this is non-fiction. However, there is a surprising lack of information on Philippe Roget if he did indeed play as crucial (and famous) role as stated in the story.
