A gruesome bloody murder has been committed. A man is accosted by a blood soaked man in a darkened movie theater. He thinks it may be the murderer but the murderer has been apprehended while the body of the victim is missing from the scene of the crime.
Complete Short Stories lists the date of the story as 1939. A rewritten version of "All But Empty" (1947).
