SF author who also wrote westerns as "Kelly P. Gast", "J. B. Masterson" and "Jake Logan". According to Robert Reginald's research, the California death index indicates that his legal name was "Garry Cotton Edmondson" and he was born in Washington state. Many secondary sources list his legal name as "José Mario Garry Ordoñez Edmondson y Cotton" and the place of birth as Rachauchitian, Mexico, or, in the case of ''Stellar #5: Science-Fiction Stories'', Guatemala, but that was apparently a hoax.
