Biography from http://www.edgewebsite.com/biographies/bios-u.html: Rio Youers has drawn praise from some of the most noteworthy names in the speculative fiction genre. The bestselling novelist Peter Straub described him as "...one of the most vital, most exciting young talents to come along in this decade." Youers is the author of the acclaimed vampire novel Everdead, and two novellas: Mama Fish and Old Man Scratch — the latter earning him a British Fantasy Award nomination in 2010. His short fiction has been published by, among others, Cemetery Dance, IDW Publishing, and St. Martin's Griffin.
Rio's debut novel, End Times, was released in 2010. His first short story collection, Dark Dreams, Pale Horses, followed in 2011, and his novel, Westlake Sou was released in 2012. Rio lives in southwestern Ontario with his wife, Emily, and their daughter, Lily Maye.
