The use of the name Herbert W. Maly by Wolfgang Jeschke was verified by Jürgen vom Scheidt in a personal message to the editor Stonecreek: according to this message Jeschke honored his friend Maly by choosing this pseudonym (vom Scheidt was a contributor to the anthology "Der metallene Traum" which was issued as by Maly). At the time of editing the anthology Jeschke and Maly lived near to each other, and both were members of SFCD (Science Fiction Club Deutschland).
