According to , this pseudonym was created by David Wright O'Brien (1918-1944), who used it in late 1942-early 1943. The pseudonym was revived as a Ziff-Davis house name in 1951. states that "Nine Worlds West" (1951) was written by Paul W. Fairman and that "Scavengers of Space" (1955) was written by William P. McGivern. The authorship of the other 3 "Clee Garson" stories published in 1951-1952 -- "Let's Give Away Mars!" (1951), "The Spoilers of Lern" (1951) and "The Martian Cross" (1952) -- is currently unknown.
