Grace Constant Lounsbery was a poet, playwright, and actress. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College and studied medicine for two years at Johns Hopkins. She then traveled widely, and spent time in Paris, where she was a member of Gertrude Stein's circle. She later founded a Buddhist society and established the first Buddhist college in France.
