The biography of Evelyn Martin published in the November 1956 issue of Other Worlds states on page 5 that Evelyn was born "thirty-two years ago". The Other Worlds biography also states that she married Joe "Scoop" Martin, a reporter for the Thomasville [Alabama] Times in July of 1940, one month after graduating from high school. As of 1956, she had three children (from oldest to youngest): Katheryn Michel "Kittymike"; Robert "Robin" and Eleanor "Ellen."
