This book was published as a preview of the Vance Integral Edition to promote sales, and were available to those who had ordered the Integral Edition for $32. The Integral Edition itself could only be purchased as a complete set of 44 books.
600 sets, most of which were the Reader's Edition similar to this book cost $1500 per set.
Of these, 200 were numbered and signed by Vance in the 44th volume. A small number of Deluxe, fully leather-bound sets with ribbon markers were produced at $3000.
