Not to mention rumors which agitated the maritime population, and excited the public mind, even in the interior of continents, seafaring men were particularly excited."

Table of contents goes to page ix. The title on the page headers is Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, but the title page has the singular Sea. No indication of date in the book, but library has added 1879 on its notation on the title page. The spine has "Advance Edition" on it.
