- First printing includes the stylized "fs" logo on the copyright page; later printings do not. Later printings appear to generally be priced $3.50. The second state (an unknown number of printings, but the earliest printings) will have no "fs" logo, but will list the publisher's address as on "Fifth Ave."; these printings are from 1949-1950. A third state (again, unknown number of printings) will list the publisher's address as on "34th St.". These will be printings from 1950-51. We believe that printings after 1951 will list the publisher as "Farrar, Straus, and Young".
