Maiwa's Revenge

First published July and August 1888 in Harper's Magazine, vol 77, pp. 181-209 and 345-63, under the short title, with 10 illustrations by {{a|Thure de Thulstrup}}. Four of the original illustrations are full-page, one as frontispiece of the July issue (p. 164). The artist is not credited; but some drawings are clearly signed "Thulstrup". --(viewed at HathiTrust) VisualHaggard.org names Thure de Thulstrup. Its gallery for the novel contains the original illustrations as images of ten pages from the magazine.

From Longmans (VH notes no other book publishers) the novel was first issued in 1888, under the long title, without illustrations (30,000 copies).
