After graduation from Cooper Union in 1951, Ratzkin "was soon being employed by major New York publishers officially as a book designer, not a cover artist, though he was credited with some genuinely artistic covers." --SFE Library of Congress catalogs one book with interior art credit to Ratzkin; namely , The Inner City Mother Goose (1969).
